Things I Tried + Loved | November 2021

Dec 3, 2021

November started off great because I spent the first weekend of it in the Catskill Mountains, living my best life in a tiny cabin in the woods. I hope you've been enjoying my captures on social media. The rest of the month went well, too. I made a vegan holiday feast, decorated for Christmas, and prioritized cozy moments whenever possible. I also made the hard decision to let go of my original Instagram account. That day was full of uncertainty and emotions. But at least 300 of you came through to the new account and I promise that every single person made me feel supported that day. I hope to see more of you cozy pals on the new account.

Now, here we are at the final month of 2021. I wish I weren't always so shocked, but end of year really does surprise me. I'm not going to start any heavy reflections on a monthly favorites post LOL but wow, what a year. We're not at the end just yet. December calls for all the festivities and plenty of deserved time off. I can't wait to celebrate Christmas in the house for the very first time. The decorations in here are already so cozy and inviting! I plan to savor every small moment. Bring out the eggnog, put the needle on the record, light the Christmas tree. It's time to invite December with open arms.

What to expect: Mini (no BS) reviews of products/experiences, affiliate links, and discounts.

And with that, let's get started with November's favorites!

monthly favorites november 2021 holidays decor product recommendations links
fluted acrylic glasses | These cups initially disappointed me a lot. They are NOT glasses. They are acrylic (plastic) cups! Please don't miss that detail like I did. While I wish these were glass, they're still lovely, durable, and pretty cups. So I do recommend. Unless you want GLASS.

silicone baking sheet liners | I never thought this would change my life but it sure did. I use these liners every single week, multiple times a week. I don't need to go through rolls of foil or parchment paper anymore! These liners are non-stick, easy to clean, and so dang useful.

wooden serving bowlsI was on the search for timeless serving pieces and then I came across the wooden bowls at World Market. They have such a beautiful uniqueness to them. From the design to shape, I don't plan on getting rid of these bowls for a long time, if ever.

colored buffet napkinsThese napkins from World Market come in a huge variety of colors, which make them a go-to for whatever dinner party you're hosting. I got the mustard color for Friendsgiving and deep green for Christmas. They're great quality at a low price, too!

faux alpine balsam christmas treeWe wanted a faux tree that had the character and feel of a real tree. I'm personally not a fan of the super thick, fluffed Christmas trees. So this one is perfect! It's 6 ft., pre-lit, and looks absolutely adorable. Gives me Charlie Brown vibes. I also love the long trunk so my cat can't attack easily!

cookbook stand | This cookbook stand is so simply designed but it surely stands out on my kitchen counter. I actually love the minimalist look (shocker)! The wood is high-quality and my heavy cookbooks sit comfortably on it. It's very reasonably priced, too.

decorative apple picking ladder | I'm a sucker for a decorative ladder! I went for a wooden look this year and I'm so glad I did. This one matches my woodland-style holiday decor perfectly. I slung a cozy blanket over top and it's just a perfect statement piece in the living room. So cozy!

world market holiday mugs | If you're looking for really cute holiday mugs, World Market has a bunch to choose from. My personal favorites are the ones that look like holiday sweater patterns. But there's much more variety, colors, and styles based on your preference.
trader joe's vegan feta in brineI'm not kidding when I say this has the taste of sheep's milk. So that might be strange for some vegans. But personally, this is the closest thing to any form of real cheese that I've had in a while and that's impressive.

impossible chicken nuggets | If you're a nug fan, you're likely a fast food nug fan. And if that's the case, you need these. They taste just like fast food chicken nuggets in the best way. My non-vegan relative definitely asked if I was sure these nuggets were vegan after trying them lol.

starbucks sugar cookie syrup | This syrup is vegan! And it tastes exactly like sugar cookies. I think Starbucks did a great job with this one but it is extremely sweet. I would recommend customizing your drink to lessen how much is in your latte, especially if you're a lightly sweetened kind of person.

gardein ultimate plant-based chicken filets | Another fantastic vegan chicken option available right now. I swear these patties are juicy. And thicc! I made chicken sandwiches with them and they tasted like a much better version of a McChicken. No dry and tasteless sandwiches here!

mingle cranberry cosmo mocktail | If you're looking for a non-alcoholic bubbly, you have to give this a try. It tastes like a cocktail with alcohol... but there's none! The flavor is light, just barely sweet, and perfect to sip on all night. I had this with our holiday dinner and my guests enjoyed!
vejas canvas sneakers | Here's a vegan sneaker option if you're looking for one! This brand has a large variety of sneaker styles, which I appreciate. They also have a huge color palette selection that all look aesthetically pleasing. Because they're high-quality, I don't need to buy another pair for a long time but when I do I have plenty to choose from.

hurraw! lip balmAnd a vegan lip balm! Those are hard to find, ya know. This brand has a tube that is narrow and wide, which I think is most ideal for a lip shape lol. They come in a large variety of flavors ranging from fruity to foodie, and even an unscented option. I got the coffee flavor and it smells like a latte.
other things.
leaving pumpkins outside! | Don't put your decorative pumpkins in the trash! Leave them in the backyard or any grassy area. This is a delicious treat for outside critters to snack on throughout the season. Doing this creates less waste and it makes the animals happy hehe.

having a holiday decor theme | I'm a big fan of themes, even when it comes to decor. Having a theme is so helpful with refining what you need to purchase. It also ends up creating a clean and cohesive look. Trust me, the end results will prove how pretty themed decor looks.

That's all the recs for this month - let me know if you're picking up anything mentioned here. And if you have specific items you'd like me to test/link, feel free to send a message and I'll work that out for you. See you in December!
