Things I Tried + Loved | December 2021

Jan 7, 2022

Happy New Year! How many times have you heard/read that so far? Well, I hope you had a lovely first full week of 2022. December allowed me a lot of down time once we got closer to the holidays. I had about a week completely off and I spent it reflecting on 2021, planning for 2022, and prioritizing rest where I'd usually be cramming in work. I think my favorite part of those days off were the mornings. I really took it slow. I didn't look at the clock. Instead, I let life happen. That's something I want more of in 2022 and years to come.

Now we're in January and talk of the town are goals! Goals, goals, goals. What are we working on, friends? What are we NOT working on? Of course, that's another story for another blog post lol. But feel free to share your goals with me on Instagram! I'd love to cheer you on.

What to expect: Mini (no BS) reviews of products/experiences, affiliate links, and discounts.

And with that, let's get started with December's favorites!

2022 monthly favorites new year product recommendations
skincare.
versed keep the peace acne cleanserI've been suffering with frequent breakouts lately. I truly consider this product as holy grail because it targets acne SO fast. Sometimes I'll have breakouts disappear overnight!

the creme shop eye patches | Eye patches are sometimes superficial for me - I don't feel or notice any difference after using them. But there was a noticeable difference with these! I could feel a lot of firmness. I used it at night but next time I'll try it in the morning for a pick me up.
food.
texas pete's hot sauce | This is so random lmao but if you're looking for a solid staple hot sauce, this one is so good! It's not too spicy, tangy, and pairs with just about anything you can think of.

pear elderflower sodaI can't find much online but I spotted this in a local grocery store so be on the lookout for its gorgeous packaging. That's what got me to purchase. The taste tho? Incredible. Not overly sweet which I like.

sisinni vegan cocoa hazelnut spread | Found this in World Market and instantly thought of Nutella but vegan! That is exactly what it tastes like. So smooth and chocolately. I like it with fruit, Ian likes it with rice cakes!

trader joe's vegan creamy dill dressing | I think this is currently my favorite dressing. I prefer it over TJ's vegan caesar dressing honestly. It's super herby, creamy, and flavorful. You got to try it over any greens of your choice!

winter saladsSpeaking of... I've been enjoying a lot of big and comforting warm salads. They're so perfect for the winter. I typically throw together a green, a grain, a roasted veggie, and some texture toppings. Click on the link for a recipe!
style.
ana luisa jewelryI am obsessed with Ana Luisa's jewelry. Not just cause we worked together. I seriously use my pieces every single day. I wear my rings and necklaces when I'm heading out or staying in sweats.
other things.
cabana coffee company | Discovered this local coffee shop during the holidays and I will exclusively be going here for weekend coffees from now on. They make their drip coffees via pourover! One cup at a time! Impressed. Also, their espressos and mochas are so yum.

night webinars | This might not be for everyone but I really enjoy attending webinars at night. It's chill, it's nearing unwind time, and I feel like it's a great moment to tune out and learn something. The webinars I've been attending are mainly on social media.

sunday resets | Resets are important to me. It allows me to release whatever I was holding onto and create space for what's to come. Which is helpful with my burnout. I like to meal prep, plan for the week, wash my hair, and do a little face mask each Sunday.

That's all the recs for this month - let me know if you're picking up anything mentioned here. And if you have specific items you'd like me to test/link, feel free to send a message and I'll work that out for you. See you in January!
